My submission for the "Wacom: Dream To Life" Competition.

When I was younger I used to look at the clouds and wonder of what was beyond. Being grounded never stopped me from dreaming of traveling to other worlds and places beyond the sunset.

Oh man this brings me back!
I keep finding more about this piece the more I look at it, it really is "a story in a painting", the use of imagination to portray the child in happiness is purely astounding, not to toot your horn too much, but alot of this piece simple "works" starting with the expression, not being able to see the eyes as the follow the ship in the sky was a good touch, it gives it a feel of a lower perspective as a child would infact have.. the classic carboard box, and suprisingly manly hands (that might be a weak point, soften them a bit perhaps?), the movement of his legs in the grass is missing a bit of contrast I think, in the shadow of the box, but looks good either way. A very inventive reflection on the robot, I would have loved to see some of the castle on the metal, but leading to that, I like how it looks as a thought bubble, or "dream cloud" making you wonder if it's really there, or just a bit of imagination play, which is what I think the goal of thi project is correct?

You chose the right perspective for your dream! It makes the kid look smaller and the dream look further away. Very nice colouring.

Awesome perspective!
I like very much of the colors, either.
Really cool dreamish atmosphere.
Capting the atmosphere, to me that's the most important thing about representing oniric, fantastic, or dreamy landscapes.
Great entry for the contest, my favorite so far.
I entered some days ago too, by the way, so I guess we're in some kind of a competition, lol.

Good luck, dude!
